Officers were called to Frutchey Hill Road and Richmond Road Saturday morning, April 20 for an "animal complaint," Township police said in a release.
A small, brown Yorkie with a green colored bandana was found dead in a cage under a white bedsheet, authorities said. The dog "appeared to have been deceased for an extended period of time," they noted.
Anyone with information is being asked to submit a tip through Crimewatch.
